High Rock Landings Retail Mall Goes Post Frame

The Morton Buildings, Inc. branch office in Lexington, NC erected the Wright Retail Mall, built for Dennie Wright.

This is a retail strip mall that is divided into six 20'x60' retail units. Some unique features are the 2' 6" deep fascia overhang design, 40" stone wainscot, three 24' gable dormers with vinyl shakes and the cedar-wrapped porch header and columns.

The customer compared post-frame with metal-frame construction, but steel framing did not offer the details wanted by this property developer.

The customer also wanted to leave unrented units without concrete to give him flexibility with rental agreements. This retail facility, labled High Rock Landings, offers a rustic look with cedar, stone and shake to appeal to those who frequent High Rock Lake.
